Jaxson dancing

We happened upon a convention going on at a nearby hotel. We pulled up to see why all these people were wearing furry costumes. They were people who love cartoon animals and their annual convention was here this year. We watched them for awhile during their parade around the parking lot. Then, while Carter posed for a picture, Jax decided to entertain them by dancing for them!

Carter's 9th Birthday in Chicago

We had a blast celebrating Carter's 9th birthday in Chicago. We were supposed to ride the train to Chicago, but it was cancelled, so we drove. The kids were disappointed, but once we got to our hotel, they were over it. We went to the Field Museum and saw alot of cool stuff. On Sunday, Carter's day, she and I went to the American Girl Store with Carie and Madie Parks. We had a fantastic day! We all agreed that it was definitely one of our favorite days! While we had our girl time, Travis and Jaxson had some guy time at the Lego store and ESPN Zone. We also hit up some cool restaurants and had fun at our hotel. The hotel had an indoor pool on the top floor, so we had a cool view of the city while we swam. It was a great weekend with fun had by all!!

Plymouth Ice Festival & World's Largest Snow Cone

We went to Plymouth, MI today to the Ice Festival. We saw some really cool ice sculptures set along the downtown area. Then, we made our way to a restaurant that set the world record today for the largest snow cone. It was very cool to see this huge snow cone. Once it was weighed, all 5,714 lbs of it, and the record was set, they starting serving snow cones to everyone. The kids thought that was really cool!
